[Ischia, June 30, 2016] Full of guests and food for thought the fifth evening of June 29, 2016 at the Castello Aragonese of Ischia.
The fourteenth edition of the Ischia Film Festival proceeds reaping unanimous acclaim and high audience satisfaction. After Silvio Orlando, Nando Paone and Massimo Gaudioso, Italian trio of exception, declared themselves in love with the location of the festival, Lillo also declares to be enchanted by the location of the Festival.
The exceptional Lillo Petrolo, known to the public for the artistic partnership with Claudio Gregori (Lillo and Greg), after being honored at the Ischia festival last year, now back as a juror for this edition of the Ischia Film Festival declares "I do not think a better place to organize a festival exists, a breathtaking location. I was here last year and enthusiastically came back this year; I would return in any capacity. Director Michelangelo Messina has honored me the role of juror, a heartfelt thanks to him and to all the staff for the welcome. It was a beautiful task because I was given the chance to view and award prizes to documentaries, a genre that I love. "
The much anticipated screening of WAX: we are the X took place. The director Lorenzo Corvino and actors Gwendolyn Gourvenec, Jacopo Maria Bicocchi and Davide Paganini were present. Lorenzo Corvino: "We are delighted to be in Ischia, and we are thrilled that our film will be screened in this indescribably beautiful scenery: I wish not to say have a great screening but have a nice journey instead. This is the location of the Festival, and when we talk about 'location' in the cinema, we must not only understand the beautiful shots but the interaction of the story, the characters and the interpretation of the actors with the chosen environment. 'Wax: we are the X' is a road movie that starts in Rome and arrives in Monte Carlo: a trip within a generation all too often forgotten; a journey that tells the story of a group of people who don't have a voice in society but, at some point, have a chance to express it thanks to two journalists ... it is a true story and I want to clarify that the film was made entirely with private and not public funding. "
There was much applause for Roberto Moliterno who presented Centosanti; Sergio Vitolo here with Bella e Perduta; for David Minella with Il Potere Dell'Oro Rosso and the premiere of Patriot by Michelangelo Fano.
More screenings are planned for the sixth day of the Ischia Film Festival and so many wonderful and unmissable discussions. It starts with the director Antonietta De Lillo's Oggi Insieme Domani Anche and continues with Andrea Vardi's Un Futuro Da Sogno and Ben Sharrock's Pikadero. Director Vladyslav Liasovskyi of the Molodist Film Festival comes back to present Zhyva Vatra and Povodyr, part of the interesting focus on the Ukraine. Director Carlos Solito will also be present with Mare D’Argento and distributor Paola Rossi with Silo Un Camino Spiritual.
