[Ischia, 18 June 2016] "Maggie's Plan" is the latest movie of director Rebecca Miller, played by the oscar award winner Julianne Moore and inspired by an unpublished novel of a friend of her's. The movie, which was premiered at International Berlin Film Festival, tells the (mis)adventures of Maggie, a young woman who tries to go on her own in New York City, between joy and pain. Determined to have a baby, Maggie lets herself be involved in a love story with an unhappy teacher and his eccentric wife.
The cast, as well as Julian Moore, is composed by internationally famous actors as Ethan Hawke, Greta Gerwig and Travis Fimmel.
Daughter of the famous theatrical playwright Arthur Millen and wife of Oscar awarded Daniel Day Lewis, after having told us about the need of a forty-aged to reinvent her love affairs after a marriage crisis in "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee", Rebecca Miller continues to emphasize, from a purely female perspective, family relationships of nowaday's society.
The movie is screened at the fourteenth Edition of Ischia Film Festival, in "Close-up" section and will be screened in the suggestive Piazza d'Armi of Aragonese Castle.
