The deadline for the Festival enrollment has expired. More than 600 works received from 51 different countries
The Ischia film Festival deadline expired on 31 March 2016; this international cinematographic contest rewards the works that best enchances the cultural identity of the places where the shots were made.
Hundreds of filmmakers have sent their works to the Art Director Michelangelo Messina and to the commission, thanks to the Festival website, but also thanks to platforms like FilmFreeway -ClikForFestival - FilmFestivalLife. The commission has the difficult task of selecting about 100 works that every year take part in the Festival and get icluded in the list. For this reason the Ischia Film Festival represents a window for those works that would otherwise not find space in the traditional cinematographic channels. Despite the small financial resources, the Festival doesn’t give up paper and online catalogue, in order to give to each work a page that best represent it.
This 14th edition have seen more than 600 submissions, including documentaries, short films and feauture films, coming from 51 different contries. They include more than 100 italian works. This year is nice to find counties like Egypt, Poland, Morocco, South Corea, Iraq, Perù, Bangladesh, the Philippines and many other, where the audiovisual production is not well developped, and the films are often made with low budgets.
The selected works will be included into the Festival programme that will take place from 25 June to 2 July. The credentialed guests can view the film on the basis of their cultural interests, thanks to the Festival official website.
The authors of the selected works are invited to the Festival, where they can tell their own experience, and interact with other guests, journalists and colleagues.
