It is with great pleasure that for the second year in a row, the festival receive a remarkable award: the moral patronage of the Eupean Parlament and of the President of the European Union, Martin Schulz.

This festival, by sharing knowledge and cinematic experiences, encourage both film makers and audience to take part in an artistic and intercultural exchange, developping a mutual understanding and learning to live together - fundamental values for the European society.

With these words the President of the European Union, Martin Schultz granted, with a personal letter, the European Parliament’s high patronage to the Festival of Ischia.
It is a great satisfaction for Michelangelo Messina, the festival's director, who said «the renewal of this preciuos moral award by the European Union reward the work carried out during all these years by the festival, and it is an incentive to improve our work according to the values that the president Martin Schultz has generously underline».
The 13th edition of the festival will take place in the suggestive area of Castello Aragonese of Ischia starting from June 27th till July 4th in the presence of distinguished international guests.
