Second day for Ischia Film Festival
Continue the booming of the twelfth edition of the Ischia Film Festival, international film competition, conceived and directed by Michelangelo Messina.
Yesterday, Sunday June 29th , 2014, was a great success before the screening of Fabio Mollo "The south is nothing"; this is an independent film shot in Reggio Calabria, in the neighborhood where he grew up Mollo. The plot tells of the relationship between introverted teenager, Grace, who is unable to have a relationship with the father, Christian, a fish seller rapier increasingly pressed by the demands of a local gangster. The story becomes more intense when, during a night swim, she seems to see his brother, who died in unknown circumstances, leave the water and move towards the city. Since that time Grace will try to get the answers that he never had. The cast is formed by Vinicio Marchioni, Miriam Karlkvist, Alessandra Costanzo, Andrea Bellisario and George Musumeci, was the participation of the actress Valentina Lodovini that gave a small but incisive cameo in the film.
Great expectations for the meeting also Nello Mascia, actor and director Neapolitan defined by many natural heir of Eduardo De Filippo.
Mascia, before the screening of his short film "Incontro con Eduardo" starring Francis Paolantoni (tells the story of Cyrus, the young actor who manages to get a meeting for a hearing with my living Eduardo De Filippo), gave the audience some his intimate memories of when, as a boy, he began working in the company of Eduardo.
Among the international guests attending the Ischia Film Festival yesterday evening, even the American actor of the famous TV series "Beautiful" and "General Hospital" Sean Kanan. He was literally mobbed by fans demanding photos and autographs.
Although salt with less capacity, other authors have had the opportunity to meet the public risquotendo great appreciation: Mathias Coers with the film "Mietrebellen-winderstand gegen den Ausverkauf der Stadt", Fabio Massa with the short film "Vicolo Cieco" and Mattia Sbragia at his first work with "Grano Salis" a documentary about the passion that drives the man toward the achievement of its business objectives.
