The iranian director will receive the Ischia Film Location Award
Among the most appreciated International directors, loved by Godard and Scorsese, Abbas Kiarostami is our guest of honour of this 11th Edition of Ischia Film, that will be full of meetings and International guests, and of screening that underline the cultural diversities of the territory, as well as the work of the iranian filmmaker (“Il viaggiatore”, “Sotto gli ulivi”, “Il sapore della ciliegia”, “Il vento ci porterà via”, “Copia conforme”) who will receive the Ischia Film Location Award on July, 2nd in the suggestive church situated on the Castello Aragonese, for his meeting with the audience where he will present his last film “Qualcuno da amare” well know as“Like Someone in Love”

The latest film by Iranian director "Qualcuno da amare" tells about the story of the encounter between a girl who prostitutes herself to finance her studies and a senior professor in Tokyo full of suggestions.
The Ischia Film Festival, realized with the Membership of the President of the Italian Republic, supported by the Campania Region Department of Culture and the General Direction for Cinema of the Ministry of Culture, will be held in the picturesque open spaces of the Castello Aragonese of Ischia and in the sixteenth century Guevara Tower from June 29 to July 6, 2013.
