Lifetime Achievement Award

[Ischia, May 22nd  2013 ] The international cinematographic prize dedicated to the film location "Ischia Film Festival", whose 11th edition will take place from 29 June to 6 July, confers to the french actor Jean Sorel the Lifetime Achievement Award 2013.

Directed by  prestigious directors (Luis Buñuel,  Sidney Lumet, Luchino Visconti and Carlo Lizzani), the French actor joins the gold book of the festival award winning, which include the Oscars Sir Ken Adam, Vittorio Storaro, Ron Howard, Abel Ferrara, Pavel Lungin, Krzysztof Zanussi, Giuliano Montaldo and Pupi Avati. 


Sorel will withdrow the deserved prize during the last evening of the festival, dedicated this year to “cineturismo”, in the natural scenario of the Cathedral situated on the Castello Aragonese in Ischia.

Michelangelo Messina, the Ischia Film Festival director and  creator asserts: “We are proud of rewarded one of the most popular French actor for his brilliant career, from Vaghe stelle dell’Orsa by Visconti to Bella di giorno by Bunel. This year with Sorel there is an homage to France considering different  movie stars who will come for the festival”

The Festival will take place between Castello Aragonese and Torre di Michelangelo, with a rich programme of exhibitions, meetings and films. The event, powerd by  the Presidente della Repubblica, is supported by Regione Campania- “La cultura come risorsa” e dal MiBAC - Direzione Generale Cinema, with the sponsorship of  Comune d’Ischia.
