 Reward for “le bonheur” and “Il pescatore di Sogni”. Direction award for Paolo Genovese

[Ischia, July 8th]Officialized the winners of the tenth edition of Ischia Film Festival. The first prize for the section documentaries has been ‘Le Bonheur’ of Laurent Hasse, the history of a man who discovers his country with the description of landscapes and scenaries forgotten, but in particular himself, through a geographic path at the discover of the happiness. An original mixture that has conquered the juries, composed by Alessandro Signetto, responsible of the international promotion of the Italian documentaries; the Italian scene designer  Bruno Amalfitano, Linde Froehlich, artistic director of the Nordic Film Days, and at the end by the critic and cinematographic journalist Alberto Castellano.

The best award among the short-features is ‘Oroverde’ by Pierluigi Ferrandini, a history of a 13 years old girl, who discovers the job, love and death working in a plantation of tabacco. In the section “ Location Denied “, the winner is  ‘Dashnamoure’ by Levon Minasian, short movie setting in a devastated Arménie but at the same time beautiful.

The important Award Castello Aragonese, as the best director, is Paolo Genovese with his work “ Immaturi”- the journay: the characters of the first volume, after dealing ,for the second time, with the degree, realize their old dream to go on holiday all together …a journay full of laugh but also malincholy.

The award Aenaria for the best scenography has been assigned to Marta Maffucci for “Diaz -Don’t clean up this blood”, a ruthless description of tragic situations about G8 of Genova. The award Epomeo for the best photography has been Terry Stracey for “ Il Pescatore di Sogni “ of Lasse Hallstrom, a comedy based on an english researcher in the mission to introduce a salmon into the Yemen.

 Assigned also The Foreign Awards with an ex-equo between 'I Borgia’ and ‘Hotaru no Hikari’. 

 Special mansion for ‘Mare Chiuso’ by Andrea Segre, ‘Damiano – Al di là delle nuvole iniziano i sogni’ by Giovanni Virgilio for the short-features ‘(R)esistenza’ by Francesco Cavaliere for the  Location Denied.

The end of the tenth edition of the Ischia Film Festival has also been caracterized from the partecipation of two important Italian  of the cinematography Paolo Genovese e Francesco Patierno.
