Ischia Film Festival pays homage to Andrea Crisanti
Last night at the age of 76 years old, Andrea Crisanti, headmaster of the National School of Cinema died in Rome. During his long career he collaborated with directors like Francesco Rosi, Sergio Leone, Marco Bellocchio, Giuseppe Tornatore, Michelangelo Antonioni, Ferzan Ozpetek, the Taviani brothers and Theo Angelopoulos.
He won the David di Donatello award for Tornatore's Una pura formalità and Ozpetek's Cuore sacro and the Nastro d'Argento award for the set design of Emidio Greco's Consiglio d'Egitto.
"I have a great memory of Andrea" said the Festival director Michelangelo Messina, "we started this adventure with him. He was the one who curated the first Festival exhibition dedicated to the work of set and costume designers. Then years later, it still is the most extraordinary exhibition of the Ischia Film Festival."
