“NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU” starts the Ischia Film Festival 2010
Eleven love stories have been premiered to celebrate the Big Apple.
(Ischia, June 22, 2010) “New York I Love You” officially opened the eighth edition of the Ischia Film Festival. It is an ensemble movie consisting of eleven short films, all set in the Big Apple, the opening title of the 8th edition of the Ischia Film Festival.
Eleven love stories shot in the different districts of the city of New York and nationally premiered on July 4, the first day of the festival dedicated to cinema locations. The eleven episodes have been realized by one of the most interesting directors of the international scene, such as the French Yvan Attal, the German Fatih Akin, the Indian Mira Nair and the debutant Israeli-born actress Natalie Portman. Having as setting world-famous locations (the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, the great Broadway theaters), a rich cast: Orlando Bloom, Andy Garcia, Bradley Cooper, Hayden Christensen, Christina Ricci, Shia LaBeouf, John Hurt, Julie Christie, James Caan, Robin Wright Penn, Eli Wallach. Produced by Emmanuel Benbihy, "New York, I love you" is part of a film project, "Cities of Love", dedicated to the most famous cities in the world. The first episodic film was "Paris, Je t'aime." In the next years, three are the films under production set in Shanghai, Mumbai and Jerusalem.
