The Square of Weapons, located at mid-height of the Castle, is used for the screening of the works of the official selection, and for the meetings with the authors.
The high walls denote a military outpost for the protection of the manor house. Between these massive defensive walls you can see the embrasures used for the cannons. Inside the square, there are three big mouths that were used to throw steaming oil and tar against the enemies. Usually the Square of Weapons is closed to the public, so you can only visit it during the Festival.
On the detailed map of Aragonese Castle, the Square of Weapons is marked by the number 27.
