Prima italiana per ‘Il Pellegrino vestito di bianco'

 

[Ischia, June 20th 2011] ‘Il pellegrino vestito di bianco’, documentary based on the story of Giovanni Paolo II will be within the National previews of the ninth edition of Ischia Film Festival. Characteristic of the work – that tells about the polish pope and his apostolic travels around the world – voices such as Raoul bova, Laura Biagiotti and Placido Domingo. Jaroslaw Szmidt will present the documentary in Ischia during the night of July the 4th and for to mark the occasion he will answer questions by Franco Bucarelli, journalist that in March 1987 could interview Giovanni Paolo II, being one of the few that achieved to do it.

Ischia Film festival, the one and only International Film Festival dedicated to location, means to honour one of the more influential characters of the 20th century. Furthermore the documentary will be projected in memory of the memorable visit of May the 5th nine years ago. In that occasion Karol Woitjila celebrated Mass in the square nearby the Castello Aragonese, the magnificent location that host the festival since the beginning.

The ninth edition of Ischia Film Festival, directed by Michelangelo Messina, will take place between July 2nd and the 9th and will be moderated by Oscar-winner Ken Adam.
