Italian Cinema set 1960-1989

From the cinema departing timidly from Rome and that one, definitely looking for new regional locations. At the beginning, the three year project “Trips around Italy” illustrates the first regional sets of Italian post-war period movies. Instead this second exhibition wants to elucidate the Italian wanderer Cinema in the following 30 years.
“Trips around Italy 2. Italian Cinema set 1960-1989”is focused on proposing urban and out of town sceneries, from small villages and country-sides, in order to tell the most varied stories, between art film and popular cinema, excluding those movies totally shot in Rome that were fully analyzed in the past. Starting with the photo collection of Cinema Centre of Cesena, they tried to build an exhibition showing both the variety of each regional location and diversification of production and genres. They also tried to highlight, through several inedited shots, the high standards of the different generations of photographer, expanding the research to private and public archives. In other different occasions, directors, photographers and studios answered quickly and generously to the requests.
