Crazy for football
Protagonists of this film are: a group of patients, a psychiatrist named Santo Rullo as the sporting director, a former soccer player, Enrico Zanchini, as the coach, and a boxing champion, Vincenzo Cantatore, as the athletic trainer. Volfango De Biasi‘s Crazy for football is a documentary film on the first Italy national football team competing in the world championship for psychiatric patients in Osaka. A trip from Italy to Japan, starting with the selections of the players to the very own championship, and a journey through the conscience of those people who have known the confusion derived from the mental illness.
